Our Wheatgerm Oil Liquid delivers high levels of vitamin E in an easy-to-give, premium grade liquid. Just add it to your pet`s food for them to benefit from the powerful natural antioxidant action of vitamin E, which neutralises free radicals that are produced as a by-product of everyday cell functions. Our Wheatgerm Oil Liquid can be given year-round to help promote a healthy skin and coat and is also used to maintain fertility and a healthy reproductive system in both male and female pets.
This supplement delivers all the benefits of vitamin E from wheatgerm oil but in an easy to give, premium grade liquid that can be added to your pet’s food. Wheatgerm oil contains a powerful natural antioxidant for general health and to support a healthy skin, coat and reproductive system.
How can I help prepare my bitch for breeding?
Once you`ve made the decision to breed from your bitch, planning is key! From finding the perfect sire to ensuring she is in peak health, there`s a lot to think about. Her state of health and fitness prior to mating and throughout her pregnancy is key to ensuring the best possible outcomes for her and her pups. Exercise and diet need to be considered and it`s important to prepare yourself and her for the whelping.
One of the more important elements in the diet of the bitch before mating is vitamin E (often referred to as the ‘fertility vitamin’). An easy way to give vitamin E is by adding a daily measure of our Wheatgerm Oil, either capsules or liquid, to her feed. This has a high level of vitamin E in a natural form which is readily absorbed.
How should I use Wheatgerm Oil?
Ideally you should start giving our Wheatgerm Oil Liquid from the first sign of your bitch coming into season. On the day before and on the actual day of mating, double the amount to give an extra boost. You should then continue supplementing for three weeks following mating to provide support to the foetuses during the important first trimester. Dogs can also benefit from being given our Wheatgerm Oil Liquid, give for a week before mating, again doubling the amount given on the day before and on the actual day of mating.
Wheatgerm is also beneficial for skin health, thanks to its high levels of vitamin E, known to help reduce skin damage and support healthy collagen formation and added bonus of vitamins A, D, B vitamins and fatty acids. To help maintain skin condition our Wheatgerm Oil Liquid should be given daily

- Shipping UK - Free Delivery for all orders over £60. Orders below £60 - £6 delivery charge. Minimum order £10. We aim to despatch your parcel next working day via UPS or Parcel Force - Next Day Delivery Service (1 - 2 working day service). Note: We do not post frozen products, any orders for shipping containing frozen goods will be cancelled.
- Local Delivery Melksham & surrounding areas (BA1, BA2, BA11, BA13, BA14, BA15, SN10, SN11, SN12, SN13, SN14, SN15). Free Delivery to all orders over £35. Orders below £35 - £6 delivery charge. All orders placed before 10am will be delivered same working day (weekdays only Monday to Friday, this service is not available on Bank holidays); orders placed after 10am will be delivered next working day.
- Local Delivery Swindon (SN1, SN2, SN3, SN4, SN5, SN16, SN25, SN26). Free Delivery on all orders over £45. Orders below £45 - £6 delivery charge. All orders placed before 10am will be delivered same working day (weekdays only Monday to Friday, this service is not available on Bank holidays); orders placed after 10am will be delivered next working day.
IMPORTANT! We use regular vans for our deliveries. We pack frozen orders in pollyboxes, in them frozen food can be kept in for up to 48 hours. However if you order just one or couple of small frozen items it is practically impossible for us to keep it fully frozen, even in pollyboxes. Partially defrosted product can be frozen again. Your order can be delivered anytime between 10am to 8pm, subject to number of orders received. If no answer at the door we will leave the box at the safe place and we'll text you (please make sure you have entered correct phone number). If you have a spare pollybox from previous order, please leave it outside on your delivery day for our driver to collect it.
If you have any requests we try to do our best to accommodate it. Please use the Delivery Instructions section when placing your order. Sending an email or calling to the shop might lead that your request might not get to the right person or this might delay chance to accommodate it.
We are doing some local deliveries over the weekend as well but we are unable to guarantee weekend or Bank Holiday Day delivery. If you have run out and you have missed deadline, our Melksham shop is open 7 days a week (Monday to Friday 10 - 6pm, Saturday 10 - 5pm, Sunday & Bank Holidays 12 - 3pm). You can either pop in or place an order for click & collect.
